Occasionally someone will call me up and ask me to do a painting of a friend/family member or both- a pet, who has recently passed on. It’s a joy for me to listen to their stories and aide them in the healing process.
Sometimes the client will want a literal portrait or ask for a metaphorical symbol to be placed within the piece that only they will recognize.
I am open to painting them whatever brings them comfort. In any case, it’s an honor to hear the stories they shared & make their loved one an everlasting icon.
